Description:
Silver prisms with hexagonal and triangular morphologies have large light absorption and scattering cross sections and broadband plasmonic peaks. These particles have average thicknesses of 10 - 40 nm+ and, depending on the size of the particles, their plasmonic peaks can span the visible to IR regions of the spectrum. Thicker entities can be created, which would be more accurately described as cube/bipyramids. These particles are suitable for bio-molecular detection, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy and photo-thermal cancer therapies.
